How to Make Money In RuneScape

Have you ever wondered how you could make enough money to buy a full set of Rune, or how you could possible save up enough to buy a Party Hat? There are numerous ways that you can make money in RuneScape, and this guide explains several of the most profitable ways to earn cash in RuneScape. You can also find strategies for increasing your levels efficiently so that you can follow the guide.

Thieving

Thieving is a very useful Members-Only skill that can be used to make quick cash as you get higher in levels. To make big cash you will need at least 50 Thieving, so if you aren’t a high enough level, follow these steps to increase your level:

From level 1-10, pickpocket Men in Edgeville 145 times.

From level 10-30, steal cakes from the Baker’s Stall in Ardougne 764 times.

From level 30-50, pickpocket Al Kharid Warriors 3,384 times.

Now that you’re level 50 thieving, you should be able to easily pickpocket guards to get some good amounts of gp.

From level 50-70, pickpocket guards 13,684 times to steal 410,500gp.

From 70-80, pickpocket watchmen to thieve another 364,520gp and 9,113 bread.

At level 80, it should be easier to pickpocket Paladins to make 100,000gp an hour. Just be sure to bring lots of food with you.

——————————————————————————–

High Alchemizing

In order to use the High Alchemy magic spell, you need at least 55 Magic. Firstly, decide what you think may be the quickest for you to make. If you have a high enough Mining and Smithing level, you can smith Steel Platemail. Someone who has a high Fletching level can make Yew or Magic bows.

Commonly High-Alched Items

Item High Alchemy Price

Magic Longbow 1,536gp

Steel Platemail 1,200gp

Magic Shortbow 960gp

Yew Longbow 768gp

Yew Shortbow 480gp

Smithing Levels

Buy Coal for 160-200gp each.

Mine half as much iron as you have Coal.

Smelt the ores into Steel bars and Smith the bars into Steel Platemail.

Buy or use your RuneCrafting skill to get a huge amount of Nature Runes.

Use High Alchemy on the Platemail for money, and repeat the above steps for more Smithing levels.

Making Money With Fletching

Pick flax in the Gnome Stronghold and spin them on a Spinning Wheel to make bowstrings.

Fletch the best bow that you can and string the bow.

Use High Alchemy on the bows, and then buy more bowstrings with the money.

Fletch more bows to earn even more money.

——————————————————————————–

Mining

Mining is one of the most vital skills in RuneScape. Everyone should have at least 40 Mining, so here’s how you can level up if you aren’t already level 40. You may also want to bank the ores later.

From level 1-20 mine Copper from the South Varrock mine.

From level 20-40 mine Iron from the mine near Rimmington or Varrock.

Now that you have a Mining level of 40, it should be easier to mine Coal. Even though you only need 30 Mining for Coal, it would be much more difficult to mine it at that level. You should also buy either an Adamantite or Rune pick.

For Members, a great place to mine coal is at the mine near Ardougne, and a bank is nearby. Free-Players can mine in the Dwarven mines, but there isn’t a bank very close to you.

Now mine 4,731 coal and sell for around 100-150gp each, or keep them for Smithing.

You should be at level 60 Mining, which means that you can go inside the Miner’s Guild.

Mine 59,598 coal and sell for around 100-150gp each, or keep them for Smithing.

Now that you’re level 85 Mining, you can mine Rune in the Wilderness, or from the Heroes Guild. Each ore sells for around 10,000-15,000gp!

——————————————————————————–

Smithing

Some time ago, Smithing was voted the most popular non-combat skill in the official RuneScape Polls. It can be a long, hard and tedious skill at times, but it gives the greatest rewards. In the early days of RuneScape, you could sell a Rune 2-Hander for 1 million gp!

You need to be at least level 48 Smithing to be a good Smither. You can buy your own ores if you have the money, or you could mine the ores yourself. Unless you have a Ring of Forging, don’t smith iron! buy runescape powerleveling

From level 1-15, smith 131 Bronze bars.

From level 15-30, smith either 592 Bronze bars or 293 Iron bars.

From level 30-48, smith 1,858 Iron bars or 1,267 Steel bars.

Now that you’ve got ten to level 48 Smithing, you can incorporate this method of earning money with method 2 - High Alchemy.

Earning Money From Steel

Get 2,000 Coal and 1,000 Iron.

Smelt them into Steel, and then Smith them into Steel Platemail.

Use your High Alchemy spell on the plates for 1,200gp each, or sell to Horvik in Varrock for no less than 980gp.

You can make anywhere from 196,000-240,000gp this way!

Mithril at Level 68

Get 4,000 Coal and 1,000 Mithril.

Smelt the ores into bars, and then smith them into Mithril Platemail. buy runescape powerleveling

Use your High Alchemy spell on the plates to make 3,112gp each.

After High-Alching the plates, you’ve made 622,400gp!

Steel appears to be better since you can make more money with fewer coal, and iron is much easier to get than Mithril. At level 99, go for the big kill…

Merchanting

Merchanting is making money from the market by buying and selling things such as armor, weapons and food. With merchanting, you don’t raise any skills. However, you get a deep insight into RuneScape and how the economy works, and you could probably control it once you master it!

The rule of using Merchanting to gain a profit is: Buy low, sell high. You need to have at least a 500,000gp investment to make a big profit. To do this, take a look at one of the other methods mentioned in this guide. Once you have a good-sized investment:

Look for items that are high in demand.

Buy it for the lowest price possible.

Now wait for the peak hours, which are around 4-6pm GMT on weekdays.

Sell the item for the highest price you can.

Merchanting Tips

When you’re buying things, try and haggle down the price.

Try offering things like Runes or food when trying to buy or sell.

Don’t be desperate when trying to buy or sell. Show the buyer or seller that you can just walk away if your price is not met.

Offer freebies like herbs or Runes.

Don’t talk too much, just cut to the point.

Be friendly but formal at the same time.

By following these tips, your customer will respect you and want to do business with you.

Dragon & Giant Slaying

There are several monsters that are quite worthwhile to kill. This method doesn’t explain how to kill monsters, but it offers a short bestiary which you can choose a kind of monster to kill.

You Should Also Have…

Stats: At least 70 Attack, Defense and Hits. Also, you should have around 80 Strength, 60-80 Magic and 50 Prayer.

Bring: Lots of good food such as Bass or Shark, a Ring of Wealth, Prayer Potions, and Anti-DragonBreath Shield, and a back-up friend.

Bestiary

Monster Where to Find Loot

Blue Dragon (111) Taverley Dungeon Dragon Bones, Rune Items, Runes, Mithril Items

Fire Giant(86) Waterfall Dragon Helmet, Rune Items, Runes, Half Key.

Black Dragon (227) Taverley Dungeon Dragon Bones, Coins, Runes, Rune Items, Dragon Helmet & Spear

King Black Dragon (276) Near the Lava Maze Dragon Bones, Coins, Runes, Rune Items, Dragon Helmet & Spear

——————————————————————————–

Fishing & RuneCrafting

Fishing is a very useful skill, not only to make money, but for yourself to use. It can also help you with the above method, Dragon & Giant Slaying. You need a minimum of 50 Fishing until you can start making a big profit from this method.

From level 1-20, fish 447 Shrimps from Al Kharid.

From level 20-50, fish 1,938 Trout from the Barbarian Village or Shilo Village.

From level 50-80, fish 20,942 Lobsters from Catherby or the Fishing Guild.

Lobsters sell for around 100-200gp each. At level 80, fish for Sharks and sell them for about 700-1,000gp each.

——————————————————————————–

RuneCrafting is a great skill to gain money from selling your Runes, but you need at least level 35.

From level 1-35, make Air Runes using 4,482 Rune Essence.

From level 35-44, make Chaos Runes using 3,911 Rune Essence.

Of course, you can sell Chaos Runes for 50-200gp each, but you should save these to level your Magic up. Remember, at level 44 you can make Nature Runes which can be sold for 300-500gp each!

Making Nature Runes Quickly

Put all of your Rune Essence into bank notes.

Take 4 times the amount of gp as you have Essence.

Run to the Shop near the village.

Sell your notes to the shop and buy them back so that they’re in real form.

Craft Nature Runes in the alter.

Run back to the shop and repeat.

Secret 3: How to Die a Cheap Runescape Death!

As obvious as it might seem in Runescape one of the most forgotten lessons is that dying in RuneScape means you lose all your valuables.

Imagine this. You are rich with gold and armored in full rune. You decide to check out the deep Runescape Wilderness but quickly realize you’ve never been there before. You shrug and bring along a bunch of lobsters and a Runescape law rune because, after all, you can just teleport back instantly if something goes wrong in Runescape.

Then you arrive at level 39 Wilderness, kill a few Runescape giants, and spot a newbie running around. You laugh and decide to kill him. While you’re enjoying the Runescape iron the newbie dropped, two level 80 mages show up. They notice the gigantic Runescape skull above your head and start attacking you while you’re playing, hitting 25s and 30s with their Runescape spells. (More than you thought possible)

You eat lobsters as fast as you can and quickly click on Runescape’s Teleport to Varrock… but nothing happens. The lobsters run out, the 80s laugh, and you lose yourself a full set of rune. runescape powerleveling

This can happen to any Runescape player. And if you don’t take the time to learn about the Runescape area you’re going to and the fact that you can’t teleport past level 20 wilderness in Runescape – then you will lose a lot of items.

This doesn’t only apply to the wilderness: so always scout a Runescape place out (or look it up) before going there. Many people lose a lot of valuable Runescape equipment because they don’t know how aggressive and strong some Runescape creatures are.

Making one million gp a day in Runescape isn’t going to help much if you keep losing it all by dying with your expensive equipment on!

Don’t get me wrong. Dying a Runescape death isn’t that bad in itself. For example, you can use death as a free teleport to Lumbridge. The larger problem is losing your valuable Runescape items and equipment. runescape powerleveling

I’ll say it again. To prevent unnecessary death always look up where you’re going in Runescape before you begin your journey. If you’re venturing somewhere you’ve never been before, make sure you know what kind of monsters live in the new Runescape area. Find out if the Runscape monsters are aggressive (like deadly red spiders) and know if it’s possible to beat them in Runescape.

Here are a few basic rules to follow when adventuring to a new Runescape location:

1.Always look the area up beforehand 2.Always bring some sort of food 3.Never bring exorbitant amounts of gold or other unnecessary stackables 4.Save your running for when it counts by walking whenever you can

Of course you can strategically make a decision to go into a new Runescape area, look around, and die. But if you choose a premeditated death, only take three Runescape items (or four if you have Protect Items). Finally, take a little Runescape food because no one wants to be zapped of energy or stranded anywhere on an empty stomach.

When it comes to virtual worlds for kids and teens, Runescape is leading the US market.

runescapeAccording to today’s stats from Hitwise, Runescape has 44% market share in this realm of virtual play lands, which also includes Webkinz, Neopets, Club Penguin, Gaia Online, Stardoll and Habbo (US version). Runescape is far in the lead, with runner-up Webkinz only taking 14% of the market. runescape gold

While all of these virtual worlds are growing rather quickly, growth is only expected to increase in the coming years. Runescape is an MMORPG that lets you create an avatar to live, play and earn a living in their medieval landscape. The game currency is called GP (gold pieces), and there are premium accounts available for those that would like to buy a subscription in order to enjoy the full benefits of Runescape. runescape gold

While it looks like Runescape is the king of this particular virtual avatar game domain, Webkinz is currently growing at the fastest rate. Zwinky, the avatar creator, has also released their own virtual world game, introducing another competitor in the field.

RuneScape Powerleveling

I believe that a trouble bothered most of the players in Runescape that Jagex banned the trade method in the game. We lost much joyment in that game, which about sharing. runescape gold We even cant helpp friends. What can we do then?I have a suggestion. Maybe we can try the powerleveling service in Usfine cause powerleveling have no limitation. I have used service there and i find that they are veru professional. You can have a try. :) runescape gold

F2P Pure Mage Training Guide

Pure Mages are quite expensive to train, but they can prove to be devastating in the wilderness, and if you know how to use them by reading our Pure Mages = Pure Money section, they can make you Millions daily!

This guide will teach you exactly where to go, how to train, and what to train on, to make sure your pure mage reaches 59 magic in little to no time. It will show you what to do at what levels so you can get the best out of your training and money.

Before you begin, you wan't to make sure you have the best mage equipment in free-world before you begin your training. This way, your spells will be more effective, meaning you can train faster and save more money. You also can check how many runes/casts you need from a certain spell by checking out Tip.It's Magic Calculator. runescape powerleveling

Level 1-9

Start off at the cowbarn at Varrok. Equip your Air Staff and cast Air Strike. Continue to cast Air Strikes on cows until you reach level 9 (apporximately 130 Air Strikes). Once you hit Level 9 magic, you are able to use Earth Strike.

Level 9-29

Having Earth Strike, equip your Earth Staff. You will be using Earth Strike to get to level 29, because it basically gives the same experience as Fire Strike, but you save 1 Air Runes every spell. And the price for those Air Runes can really up considering how many strikes you will need to cast. Now head to the Varrok Sewers. Follow the picture below to your training area.

There will be two steel fences and a space in between. Go through that space in between and begin casting Earth Strike on the Rats. The rats wont be able to get you because you will be behind the safety of the gates. Keep doing this until you reach 29 Magic (approximately 714 Earth Strikes).

Level 29-41

Alright, now you have Earth Bolt! Now you can start using those Chaos Runes for your training. Luckily, you wont have to go far for your next training spot. See the map below for your next training spot. runescape powerleveling

Now Bolt away on the skeletons across the sewer's river until you reach 41 Magic.

Level 41-55

Now you have reached Air Blast! Your first Blast Spell. Since all you need to cast this spell is a Death Rune if you use an Air Staff, we will suggest you use this. Head over to the Wizard's Tower south of Draynor Village. Go to the 3rd floor of the tower and you will find a room with a caged lesser demon. Its good to train on this demon because you wont have to keep clicking on enemies to train.

This lesser has a good ammount of HP, so you just attack once, sit back, and watch the Blasting. Do this until you reach 55 Magic.

Level 55-59

This part is said to be very easy. All you do is place an item in your inventory where your level high alch spell would be when you open up your magic menu. That way, you can click on the High Alch spell, then just click again without having to move the mouse to cast the spell. It makes everything a whole lot easier. Its a good idea to buy a lot of items for cheap and Alch them all together instead of alching, then stopping to buy items to alch, then alching, then stopping again, etc. etc.

Keep doing this and before you know it, you will reach 59 Magic and be ready to make Millions by following our method of Pure Mage = Pure Money!

F2P Pure Melee Training Guide

What is a pure melee?

Pure Melee accounts in F2P are accounts that are generally low in combat level, and have ridiculously high strength levels. This stat build ensures that you can dish out optimal damage. And that ability to do high damages makes you good in PKing (player killing), will means you can kill people in the wilderness quite easily as a Pure Meleer and get piles of Rune Armor from PKing, which = PILES OF MONEY!

Want proof? This video should give you a taste of how much Pure Melee PKers make, quite nicely:

(Video and pictures for the page soon to come) [That means no proof for right now, sorry!]

As you just saw, making a pure melee file means that you can own the wilderness without having to Lure like mages, and you can dish out some heavy damage, which means a big chance of killing your opponent and getting their valuable armor that can make you RICH!!!

This guide will give you tips on how to train and own the wilderness with your very own Rune Armor Piling Pure Melee!

Guide Sections Include:
  • I - Creating A Pure Melee
  • II - Required Materials

I. Creating A Pure Melee cheap runescape powerleveling

When you create a Pure Melee account, the first thing you do, such as the name, can make a big effect of what type of Melee PKer you want to be. There are two options:

  • Respectable Names - If you want to be respected in the PKing world
  • Newbie Names - Can lead to people underestimating you, giving you an advantage of

I personally prefer giving my PKer a newbie name like "pokemen2339" or "tinykid237", because then the people you are facing will underestimate your skill. That means you can whack them a few times with a Iron Scimitar, and they will think you're a noob because of your newbie name wont expect you to have 40 attack and 70 str. So then you can quickly whip out a Rune 2 Hander after doing some damage with an Iron Scimitar, and hit a 25 with the R2H and they're dead (as explained in a later section). So having a newbie name can give you a big advantage.

II. Goals For a Pure Melee File

Everyone Melee Pure file's main goal should be to dish out as much damage possible, while trying to keep the combat level low. That way, you wont have to face the higher level Rune wearing people who have super high defence thats hard to hit through. Instead, you can go up against the lower level people who still wear full rune, and you can hit high damage on them, I'm talking hitting damange in the mid 20's while having less than 60 combat level.

To do this, you must try to reach these goal levels for your Pure Melee account:

  • 40 Attack
  • 70 Strength
  • 40 Range (for D Hide Chaps and Vambraces)
  • 31 Prayer (Ultimate Stength Boost)
  • 1 Defence
  • 1 Magic

You dont want to exceed 40 Attack, because all you want to do is be able to wield Rune weapons. If you go over 40 attack, statistics show that your effectiveness at kill GREATLY decreases. Your defence should be left at one because its not going to help you hit higher, and it will raise your combat level, which means you will have to face the higher level people who have like 60 defence and are hard to hit.

Leveling range and prayer is up to you. Range level 40 makes training a whole lot easier, and it serves as good armor in PKing. Increasing range level wont raise your CB much since you will have already gained CB from Melee, so maybe a level increase from range, but its worth it in my opinion. Prayer is also an option, it serves as a shortcut to increasing your strength, and if you plan to stop training and just start making money from PKing, its a good idea to get 31 Prayer for Ultimate Strength (gives 15% stength boost = 15% more damage). You can either bury bones along the way if you are low on money, or you can learn how to make some money from the Runescape Millionaires Guide and just buy a bunch of big bones. Now you will learn how to reach these goals.

III. What You Need to Begin

To start on your path to making your new account a Pure Melee, get the following items onto your Pure Melee file:
  • Full Iron Armor
  • The Scimitars from Iron to Rune (Black is optional, because it takes too much time to find someone selling one)
  • Strength Amulet
  • 1k-2k Trouts for training
  • 2K Iron Arrows and all bows (optional step - this is to get 40 range so you can wear Green D Hide chaps and vambs, making training a LOT easier!)
  • Green D Hide Chaps and Vambs (for defence when training)
  • Finish Stronghold Quest and get Stronghold Boots

Now that you have your gear from training, get ready to start leveling up. The goal to reach is 40 attack and 70 strength before you begin PKing. cheap runescape powerleveling

1. 1-8 Attack
Start off at Varrok, and hit the dummies until you reach an attack level of 8.

2. 8-20 Attack

Slap on your Iron Full, Str Amulet, SS Boots, and your scimitar(s). Now head on over to the cows near the crafting guild, taking with you trouts, or you can just cook the meat the cows drop, in which case you will need to bring along an axe and a tinderbox.

3. 1-40 Strength

Now, many people claim that getting both 40 attack and 40 strength on cows is the best idea, but since the release of the Stronghold of Security, its been found that training on the level 11 and 13 Goblins inside SS gives you more exp. per hour. So for optimal training, head on over to the lvl 11 goblins at SS. Try to bring trouts so you can stay down there longer. This part of the training is enjoyable, because you get to see yourself hitting higher and higher.

4. 20-40 Attack

Alright, now that you can hit higher than you use to on those cows at the begining, you can hope to get to 40 attack and wielding rune a lot quicker. Wear the same stuff from the last step, except change your scimitar to Mithril. Now head on back to the Golbins in SS, except this time, train on the level 13 goblins. Once your done, congratulations! You can now wield Rune weapons!

5. 1-40 Range (optional)

This step is optional, but I would HIGHLY recommend all Pure Meleers to have this. If you get 40 Range, then you can wear Green Dragon Hide Chaps and Vambraces. Increasing range while already having 40 attack and 40 strength will barely affect your combat level, if so, maybe by one level. Its a lot better than training defence which will increase your combat level by a lot, and remember, we are trying to keep our combat level low.

6. 40-70 Strength

Ah, you have finally reached the last step of your training. Well, I have good news for you. For this step, you finally dont have to click everytime you want to attack an enemy, these enemies attack your character for you! Now, this may sound bad, but not with the enemies you'll be training on. You will be facing Flesh Crawlers, and guess what their max damage is? 1 DAMAGE is their max hit! And they have a good ammount of HP, so you can train on each for a while without having to switch. These Fresh Crawlers can be found on the second floor of the Stronghold of Security on the south-east room. I would recommend you finish the SS minigame, that way everytime you want to go to the 2nd floor, you can just use the teleporter instead of having to go through all of the first level of the stronghold maze.

Wear Dragon Hide Chaps and Vambs (if you can wear them), the rest wear iron armor, your Rune Scimitar, Str. Ammy, and SS Boots. Bring 2-3 Str Pots and the rest of your inventory, fill up with lobsters (yes a bit on the pricy side, but its the best for your training). Pot up, and when your sip of str pot has just about run out with maybe only +2 strength bonus, take another sip of str pot.

These fresh crawlers will stop their auto attacking after 15 minutes, so if you want to restart their auto attacking, just go north until there is a "loading - please wait" on your screen, then just run back to the flesh crawlers to continue your training.

Now just sit back and let the fresh crawlers get you to 70 strength, once you are done, you are ready to learn how to PK and make some Millions! Read the PKing guide (coming soon).
